What actually happens when you enter your birth details

You give us a date, an hour and a city. That is a local wall-clock time, and it is not the same thing as a moment in the sky — the same 6:25 in the morning means a different instant depending on the year, because of daylight saving, historical time zones and rules that have changed more often than most people realise.

We convert your local time using the historical time zone database, the same one your operating system uses. If your birth hour landed inside an hour that never existed because the clocks went forward, or inside an hour that happened twice because they went back, we handle both cases explicitly instead of quietly picking one.

From that instant and your coordinates we calculate the positions of the Sun, the Moon and the planets, the angle of the eastern horizon — your rising sign — and the divisions of the sky known as houses.

These are astronomical calculations, accurate to about a minute of arc. The astronomy is not the interpretive part; it is arithmetic, and you could check it against any ephemeris.

The rising sign and the houses depend entirely on the hour. An hour either way moves the rising sign by roughly half a sign, and often across the boundary into a different one.

So when you tell us you do not know your birth time, we do not estimate. Those sections are removed from your reading rather than filled with something plausible. Everything driven by the date alone — the Sun, the planets, most of the picture — stays.

The interpretation is written in plain language and describes tendencies: how you tend to decide, to rest, to attach, to work. It does not predict events, and it will never tell you that something is going to happen to you on a particular date.
